Garmin updates its Forerunner line of GPS watches

We’ve been anticipating the new series of watches from Garmin for a long time now and they’re finally here. The Forerunner still has 6 devices but they look way more amazing now.

The Forerunner 45 and 45s are the most affordable out of the bunch which now replace the Forerunner 35. These come with a color display and circular screen which is a massive upgrade. It also comes with Garmin’s Elevate wrist-based heart rate technology, built-in GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO and accelerometer and has all the perks of a standard fitness watch.

Next up is the Forerunner 245 and 245 Music. The difference between the two is that 245 Music can store up to 500 songs locally. Apart from this, these watches are basically Forerunner 45 with a pulse Ox sensor and compass. The performance analysis is much detailed including aerobic and anaerobic training effects. These watches are mainly for advanced runners.

The 245 watch has an impressive battery life of one-week which is the same as that of 45. With the GPS it will last for a full 24 hours and last only for 6 hours with music playback on as well.

The Boss of all these watches is the Forerunner 945. It does everything all the basic watches do and has NFC on top of it. It also comes with an altimeter, thermometer, and gyroscope and expands storage to over 1000 songs. WIth the altimeter, this can also track floors. Moreover, in terms of connectivity, it comes with Wifi. Also,  it has integrated Pay support.

It comes with onboard maps and is built for people who take their training very seriously. This arrives with advanced psychological features and improved adjustments for the training status. It will cost a whopping premium of $599.99.

The 45/45S will come in Iris, White, Black, and Lava Red color. The 255 and 255 Music will ship in White, Black, Aqua, Slate, Gray and Berry color. Interestingly, the 945 will be available in only black and blue color.
