Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL launching on May 8 in India

Pixel 3a and 3a XL have been in rumors for a long time now and it’s finally official now. The new phones will be launching on May 7 and will be coming to India the next day itself.

Flipkart has posted a teaser which shows off the outline of the phone with the tagline “Help is on the way”.

The New Pixel 3a and the larger XL version will fundamentally look the same in terms of design as the much more premium Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Instead of the premium material, these phones will be made out of plastic. Also, there will no notch on the display.

Both the phones will be coming with an OLED high pixel density screen. The screens will have the traditional big top and bottom bezels and thus the screen-to-body ratio isn’t very high. They’ll be shipping with the same 4GB ram and will be available in a 32GB or 64GB variant.

Moreover, these phones will have the same 12.2MP sensor as that of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, thus these phones will deliver the same great pictures. Google is also cutting down on the processor as both of these phones will have either the Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 670.

These phones will be solid mid-rangers with all the timely software updates from Google within the $400-$500 range.

We’re excited for whatever Google has to show off at their annual Google I/O and this product is certainly going to be an important feature.
