Moreover, the times when we used to buy expensive CDs to watch newly released movies have completely gone. Now is the time to take a monthly or yearly pack on streaming service of your choice and enjoy watching shows and movies.

In this article, I am going to through light on the two most popular platforms Netflix VS HULU, its pros and cons and features. Scroll down to read more!

Netflix Vs Hulu

When you choose a streaming service, you see various features like price, picture quality, various device support, and collection of movies and shows.  So today we will discuss and compare the two services based on these factors.

Price: Netflix Vs Hulu

Price is always the main concern for users. We analyze many things while purchase and Price are also one and those factors. Here if your decision solely relies on Price, then I would suggest you Pick HULU. Hulu is cheaper. Read the below section to find the difference.

Netflix offers packs according to the video/picture quality you prefer. Thus Netflix has three packs, Basic, Standard, and premium. The basic One costs you the least $7.99 per month, The Standards costs you $10.99 and the premium costs you $13.99/month. These packs differ on various factors like HD availability, Ultra HD Availability, Watch on mobile, watch on laptop, etc.

HULU has simple plans and packages. HULU and HULU+LiveTV. HULU costs you $5.99per month whereas HULU+LiveTV costs you $54.99/month.

Refer to the below images to check what you would get in which package.

Content Selection

Content Library matters the most. The movies and TV Shows you love to watch must be contained under the package you opt for.

Though the amount of content is not shared in public, one report said that Netflix offers 1,569 TV shows and 4,010 movies. But it’s not clarified!

HULU, on the other hand, has 2,900 TV series and over 2,500 films according to a report released in 2016.

Originals and Collection

If prices are less but content is not good, then there is not mean to buy such a pack. Better to buy a pack with a good price and good content. But here you do not have to pay deed to this thing as both the platforms offer you the best content.

Netflix is popular for its originals and every year Netflix spends a lot of money on making the best originals. Stranger Things, Narcos, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Master of None have already been released and many more are coming our way. Whereas if I talk about HULU, this streaming service is Co-owned by large brand networks like Disney and Comcast. HULU has a good collection of series from old to new. Some of them are Simpsons, Seinfeld, ER, Futurama, HeartlandCrown series, and my favorite GOT.

Netflix is better for originals while Hulu offers more when it comes to network TV programming. You got a large selection of movies with both services from different genres, so there should be something in there for everyone.

Device Support

Before taking any decision, it is very important to know the platform is supported on which devices. So let’s take a look at the supported devices.

HULU– MAC, PC, Apple, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Chrome cast, Xbox, Samsung TV, LG TV, Nintendo Switch, and Android TV.

NETFLIX– Stream Media Players, Smart TV, Game Consoles, Setup Boxes, Blu ray player, Smartphones and Tablets, PC and Laptops.

Subscribers

We can just assume a number of subscribers according to some reports.

According to a report released in 2018, it has been said that Hulu has over 30 million subscribers but Netflix has 150 million subscribers, out of which 59 million are only in the U.S.

Downloads

Downloading is a must! If at times you are not connected to the internet but want to watch something, then what you will do?

HULU and Netflix both allow you to download the content and enjoy watching it whenever needed but how long they will remain on your device depending on the license Agreement. Also, you cant watch all the shows and movies. The content you can’t download is irritating, but Netflix’s large catalog of originals takes the cut out. But there is a solution, “The Smart Downloads”! This feature implies that when you finish one episode, the next time you’re on Wi-Fi, the app will take the next episode automatically while deleting the viewed episode.

Interface

The interface of both apps is very interesting. Very sleek and clean. The user-friendly interface is easy to use and search for your content.

Netflix looks different on an iPhone than on a big, flat-screen TV  but actually maintains pretty much the same basic structure while Hulu has the same basic interface on each device, easy to use and navigate.

A Word Worth…

Hey friends, this is all about the comparison between Netflix VS Hulu. Whatever be the differences between the two, Both of them are upper-hand of the among many others. The two platforms are giving the best, so its purely your choice which one to choose.

Comparing the two streaming services, I would prefer Netflix as it is not restricted in any way whether it be location or content. Its huge library is good enough to spend time alone as well as with family.
