Samsung patents wraparound Smartphone display.

Samsung has been a lot of news lately, mainly because of its Samsung Galaxy Fold. If the device fails altogether, we’ll still have to give Samsung a pat on the back for innovation. Now, It seems that Samsung has more plans for us.

The South-Korean smartphone company has patented a wraparound display for smartphones. This display wraps towards the back around the top and a part of the bottom. This display is fully continuous, unlike the Vivo Nex which featured two completely separate display screens.

This concept has a ton of interesting applications. For one, you won’t have to worry much about the picture when you ask a random person to take a picture of you. You’ll have it behind the phone as well!

Moreover, this has immense applications in translation tools. You can speak and the translations would appear on the opposite side of the phone reducing the need for you to turn the phone. You could activate the secondary display with a wave of the hand or holding the S Pen over it.

Since the display folds on this one, the company can actually make a tiny pager out of the top edge screen which can show a lot of information. Moreover, the look of the device will be absolutely spectacular if it happens altogether.

This seems like a really very interesting idea, especially the translation app. But as it goes with any other smartphone or tech in the industry, we’ll have to wait before it actually launches and comes in our hands.
