A total prize pot of $30 m, the largest ever for an esports event, is up for grabs for the 100 qualifiers–many of whom are between 12 and 16 years of age.

Fortnite: Battle Royale has become one of the world’s most famous video games since its release in 2017, with more than 250 million users. The World Cup is the introduction of the title into the profitable globe of amateur sports event circuits, where this year’s revenue is expected to reach $1bn owing to the explosion of patronage, marketing, and television privileges.

With thousands of supporters anticipated to participate, Epic Games has organized a three-day festival around the championships.

Saturday will see the ultimate Duos with 50 squads of two participating, while Sunday will feature the Solo contest, playing 100 players against each other. Both rounds are performed over six games, with game positioning scores and amount of hits given. Solo and Duo finals winners are going to receive $3 m each.

Competitors come from around the globe after completing a sequence of competitive, internet races, which also provided award cash worth hundreds of thousands of bucks. Among the winners, there are no females, and most rivals are under 20 years of era. Many are the type of competitive gaming groups like Faze, Envy, and NRG that provide major players with executives and practice equipment.

Fortnite: Battle Royale since its launch as a private offshoot of booth shooter match, has had immense development. In each internet game, 100 participants have to hunt for guns and objects while playing rivals on a colorful planet. The last remaining individual loses.

Fans can attend the finals video online from 1 pm ET (6 pm BST) every evening via Fortnite’s Twitch and YouTube stations and can plug in through the match itself, choose to watch a significant show or watch personal competitors ‘ live videos.

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, published in 2017, popularized the fight ground genre. After its release in February, Apex Legends have drawn 50 million users in a week. Fortnite, meanwhile, has proven to be extremely common with older games due to visual cartoons, entertaining routines, and high-profile star games that draw millions of viewers on their YouTube and Twitch platforms.
